This is The Me
This was my kindergarten class at summer camp in 2007.  I miss these kids so much.  We had so many good times in those few months and I came across this picture today and it made me smile because despite all the bad things happening in the world kids always know how to bring joy and have fun!
What has inspired me today are children!  I love children so it’s a good thing I want to be a teacher, but I just love watching them.  They are so interesting.  They don’t have a care in the world most of the time and they are silly, funny and don’t care about what people think about them.  They are so carefree and loving.  Even the worst ones can still be good.  I had one kid at camp one year who could be a terror but he when he wanted to be he was one of the sweetest kids I had.
Sometimes I wish I could go back to being a kid again playing make believe, painting pictures, riding bikes around the neighborhood or making up games and playing outside until the sun went down and we had to come in.  Looking back now those where the fun days and I miss them but we all have to grow up sometime.  I don’t think we ever fully lose that little kid in us, so today why not reminisce and go stand in the rain or roll down a big hill or swing on a swing and give your inner kid some excitement you know you want to!
